The Perry Public Library is going fine free! This means that overdue books, DVDs, and magazines will no longer generate daily fines. The Perry Library board made this decision based on the best information from emerging library trends and knowledge. Fines have long been considered a barrier to access for financially depressed patrons, and it has become clear that the best way for the library to serve our community is to no longer collect fines.
Park passes and museum passes will still generate fines. If materials are lost patrons will still have to either return the item or pay the replacement cost.
